VISA REQUIREMENTS

Malaysia offers visa-free travel of varying duration to nationals of almost all North American, European, and South Asian countries. Nationals of Australia and New Zealand are also eligible for visa-free entry. Nationals of all SAARC countries, except Afghanistan, can apply for an e-VISA. Check your visa requirements for Malaysia.

 VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

You should be up to date on routine vaccinations, including booster shots for tetanus.

RECOMMENDED: The CDC recommends getting travel vaccines and medicines for hepatitis A and typhoid.

SELECTIVELY ADVISED: Depending on where you’ll be travelling and for how long, you might need to get vaccines for hepatitis B, malaria, rabies, Japanese encephalitis, and yellow fever.

CERTIFICATE REQUIRED: As per the CDC, a certificate of yellow fever vaccination is required if travelling from a country with a risk of yellow fever virus transmission and ≥1 year of age, including transit >12 hours in an airport located in a country with risk of yellow fever virus transmission.
